Vital Care is the only franchisor of home infusion services in the United States and among the top five players in the growing $15 billion home infusion market. Home infusion therapy involves the intravenous or subcutaneous administration of drugs or biologicals to patients at home. Founded in 1986, Vital Care serves the medical needs of a wide range of patients with chronic and acute conditions. Vital Care supports more than 50 franchises across 20 states and focuses on underserved secondary markets.

After our investment, Vital Care’s growth exceeded expectations. In July 2024, after achieving substantially all of our investment objectives in four years, Sentinel sold Vital Care to Berkshire Partners and Leonard Green & Partners in a management buyout transaction. Vital Care is well positioned to continue growing under new ownership.
